Hazardous Waste Treatment Technology

Eguard imported and absorbed the world's advanced technology on hazardous waste, and can provide the turnkey service of technology and engineering from collection, transportation, classification and testing, integrated utilization, storage and disposal.

Hazardous waste's integrated treatment process

Hazardous waste treatment process includes hazardous waste receiving, characterization, physical/chemical treatment, incineration, and solidification and landfill.

1. Hazardous waste receiving and characterization
Hazardous waste characterization is performed quickly when receiving the waste to quantitatively and/or qualitatively analyze the waste so as to determine the next process (such as temporary storage, stabilization/solidification, incineration, integrated utilization, physical/chemical treatment and direct landfill etc.). Part of the qualitative analysis can be performed on-site, while the rest of qualitative analysis and all of quantitative analysis need to be performed in laboratory.

2. Hazardous waste recycling and reuse
Hazardous waste recycling and reuse is based on hazardous waste characterization. There are two major ways for hazardous waste recycling and reuse, i.e. hazardous waste is treated and material is returned to the process in which hazardous waste is generated, and useful material in hazardous waste is regenerated and used as raw material for other purposes. Hazardous waste recycling and reuse is under the premises of the safety and innocuousness of the treatment and application processes.

3. Physical/chemical treatment
Base on the properties of hazardous waste, a series of physical/chemical treatment processes, including oxidation, deoxidization, neutralization, detoxification, air bearing, demulsification etc., can be applied as the pre-treatment of hazardous waste in preparation for further treatment.

4. Incineration
Incineration system is the key sector of integrated hazardous waste treatment. It consists of three sub-systems: hazardous waste pre-treatment and feeding, incineration and flue gas desulphurization and dust removal.

5. Stabilization and Solidification
The product after hazardous waste is stabilized and solidified should have good properties, such as impermeability, unleachability, wetting-and-drying resistance, freeze-and-thaw resistance and good mechanical strength, so that it can be easily transported and it won’t be dispersed easily. Therefore, hazardous waste can be finally safely landfilled.

6. Safe Landfill
Safe landfill is a treatment process where hazardous waste is landfilled and covered with soil.
